Just a few minutes from the resort lies the Parco del Respiro, a beech forest of outstanding natural value, now recognised as an ideal place for the practice of forest bathing, or Shinrin-yoku, rooted in Japanese tradition.
The creation of the Parco del Respiro is closely connected to the history of the resort. The project took shape following the development of our bioenergetic garden within the resort’s park, created many years ago together with Marco Nieri after a long process of research and dialogue. From this experience emerged a broader reflection on the relationship between forest, wellbeing and deep perception of nature, leading to the enhancement of this area of the territory.
The Parco del Respiro was designed by Marco Nieri and Marco Mencagli, among Italy’s leading figures in the study of forest wellbeing, with paths conceived to encourage a mindful and conscious connection with the natural environment.
The bond with the resort is direct and authentic. The owners have completed professional training as forest bathing instructors, integrating this practice into the philosophy of hospitality. As part of the Day Active programme, forest bathing is offered regularly: Maurizio, a certified instructor, accompanies guests along the forest paths, guiding them through an experience of slow walking, breath awareness and presence in the woods.
An activity accessible to everyone, without performance or goals, naturally complementing a stay shaped by spa, nature and movement.
