Trento and Bolzano

Trento and Bolzano are the two main cities of this magnificent, fairytale region. Completely different in style and tradition, they both deserve a visit for their museums, beauty, palaces, churches and last but not least, their order and liveability, which make them first in the classification of most liveable cities in Italy, published by Italia Nostra and other associations.

The garden city of Trento is a meeting point between Italian and Mid-European culture and was the seat of the homonymous Council (1545 – 1563) the renaissance imprint of which can still be seen in the squares and numerous palaces. Bolzano, known as the doorway to the Dolomites, has always been a crossroads for commercial trade between north and south; a special city with a decidedly Nordic flavour, where diverse cultures and linguistic groups merge in a continuous change of contrasts which make it unique.
Both are easily accessible from the Resort, being only a short half hour’s journey away, through the Valley dell’Adige.
